Course Description

Library staff can change how the SimplyE app works and how it looks by logging into the Circulation Manager. Changes that can be made include, but are not limited to: hold functionality, default sort and availability, colors and logos, and geographic areas served by the library.

In this session, we will discuss the roles available for library staff and the variety of ways the app can be configured. Participants will be provided with their own Circulation Manager with pre-loaded collections to work with, or they can follow along in their own library’s Library Configuration area.

Learning objectives for this session include

By the end of the session, the participant will be able to:

  • Identify 2 differences between the Library Manager and the Librarian roles.
  • Discuss how changes to the Basic Information section can be made.
  • Explain how to change the default tabs seen by patrons in the app.
  • Summarize how to add another e-resource collection to SimplyE.
